Zumba
1. What did you learn about "Lifelong wellness" from taking this class?
I learned that lifelong wellness it the dey to being healthy. Zumba was a great way to get my body into shape. I really enjoyed this class, working out is not working out when your having fun. I learned that it is important to do different types of exercise, and that there are different type of inguries that can happen, like chronic injury which happens over time due to overexersize, and accute injury run into sometime.
2. How would you apply this information to your life?
I am careful when I work out, I learned to listen to my body and not push my self to hard. Hydration!!! It is extreemly important to keep hydrated through out the day expecially when your working out. After taking zumba I changed my mind about exercising, I find it fun and it was something I looked foward to doing.
3. What is your intention to continue to exercise in you life and why?
I have already continued this exercise outside of class. I have attended several zumba classes with my friends, I have a friend that teaches zumba and we also go to Murrey's recreational center. I found zumba to be a lot more fun when you have someone to work out with. I feel good after I work out, zumba helped me become more comfortable with myself. I really enjoyed this class and plan to dance zumba as long as I can!
4. General ideas for improving this course?
I really liked the different dances, we always changed up the routine which is something I enjoyed. For the last half hour we would do body toning workouts like palates. I would not change anything about the way my teacher taught zumba.
