Yoga
In yoga I leaned that it is important to be active in order to stay healthy, look younger and live longer. Yoga is one way to obtain lifelong wellness, because it is good for both your body and mind. Not only that but it helps you get in touch with your inner self. I learned that nutrition and components of fitness are the key factors in lifelong wellness. I have been applying this information to my life by watching what I ea but also by making sure I get the exercise I need. Yoga has helped me learn to listen to my body. I am now able to feel and connect more with others and myself. I feel a lot better and have a lot more energy because i have been applying these skills to my life. I do plan to continue doing yoga, if not in class then just at home. In class we learned different positions and breathing exercises. We got into groups and made up our own sequence of poses. Then presented it to the rest of the class as they followed along. Our teacher went over nutrition and the components of fitness. She let us know that they go together in order to be healthy. My goal is to do yoga at least once a week if not every morning. My teacher was amazing, she made the classes fun and enjoyable. I would not want to change anything about her class. I really liked that she let the students engage in teaching the class. Yoga has been a truly amazing experience for me, and I know that it has helped me and will continue to help me in the future.
